Lodging info

It's time to make reservations at one of several hotels in Nauvoo for our big day, because you really shouldn't sleep on the street or in your car. It gets a bit chilly this time of the year there. Five weeks to go, but who's counting? This link is a great source of information. Good luck and happy hunting!

Wedding Gifts

Matt and I live quite well out here in the wonderful city of Logan, UT. Matt graduated 3 years ago and set himself up rather nicely. We have a lot of the essentials and a few luxuries too. We will be traveling very shortly to Nauvoo, IL to get married. Yea! Only 6 1/2 weeks, but who's counting. :)

Anyway, about gifts....Just seeing you all there is the only present we request. However, for those desiring to give something extra, gifts that are transportable, such as checks, prepaid debit cards, etc. would be great. We will be flying, so we won't be able to carry a lot with us.

Thanks to all and have fun reading.

A Few Pictures

A few months ago (May), Laurann and I drove to Nauvoo to take care of some wedding stuff, which included the engagement pictures. Here are a few of our personal favorites.

Our Wedding Plans

We have been excited about our future together. Laurann and her mother are currently in Nauvoo working on the wedding plans (ie: wedding dress, invitations, decorations, flowers, etc., the "girly stuff"). We also have been enjoying meeting again with friends and family. I went down to visit my family in southern Illinois while Laurann and her mom are working on the girly stuff. I kept busy working around the farm with my father using all the boy toys (ie: chain saw, weed wacker, mower, etc.) and collecting pictures of my growing up years. My mother has only recently started letting sheep out of the pasture when she's home. A word to the wise: watch out for "sheep pies." Not as visible as those from cows, but quite smelly in confined spaces like the house or the car.
